A Little Blue

Every year at this time, for the last 7 years, I
become a bit melancholy.

My dear Mom left her earthly abode, and stepped
into the presence of God back then...

and I miss her...
like crazy.

Mother's Day just does that to me, plus April
is her birthday, and their anniversary.

Today during a time of quiet reflection,
I asked God to give her a hug for me,
and tell her how much I love and miss her.

And He did just that!

Wanna know how I know?
I know He did because He is...

LOVE!

If you still have your Mom with you, do these
couple of things, ok?
You'll be glad you did!

~~Be sure and get a current picture of you and your
Mom together whenever you can.
I didn't, and so wish I had.

~~And please, let your Mom know...even if she
hasn't been the best mom, that you appreciate her.

After all, you're reading this because she
spent part of her life {at least 9 months}
making sure you were nurtured and protected.

And don't you just adore these lovely
stamped utensils?  I found these little beauties on Etsy
and they are offered by
Beach House Living!

They would be wonderful little surprises for
your Mom!  A tad late, maybe, but we women
like to drag out our celebrations anyway,
RIGHT?

I am torn between the "Spread Love" and the "Spread Joy"!

But one of them will be mine, today!!

I'm praying for all of you who are missing your Mom.
Love and hugs to you!

***SIDE NOTE***
I purchased the "Spread Love" knife!!!
Just couldn't resist it!!
Love those little joys!!

Such a sweet post. I'm sure your Mom is looking down and smiling upon you today. Although you didn't get a recent picture, you have memories and no one can take those away. You have a blessed Mother's Day sweetie.

I am relating to you, dear Becky --- my mother is gone too --- five years. It is tough, isn't it. Memories, sweet memories, help to ease a bit of the loneliness and pain.

Bless you!

I do still have my mom with me, and I agree with you. I think I might suck it up this year and take a Mother's Day picture with with all the mothers and daughters.
I tend to shy away from pictures which is UNWISE, I know.

Dear Becky, I know how you feel. I miss my mom too. She went to heaven 23 years ago and I think of her all the time. She was such a powerful influence in my life and loved God so much. Our moms are the lucky the ones they are with the Lord and someday we will see them again. Blessings to you dear sister during this season. Hugs, Elena

Becky, this is a beautiful post. I lost my mom on Mother's Day 1991. I always thought I would never like Mother's Day again, but, that didn't happen, instead I always thought, what a beautiful day for her to go home to be with the Lord. I know she loved her family dearly, but, I also know she wouldn't trade Heaven for anything. So Mother's Day now has a more special meaning, and knowing Heaven is a little brighter now, because my mom is there, always makes me smile.
Blessings.

What a wonderful post and tribute to your beloved Mom. I'm sorry this is a hard time of year for you. We just moved from MI to Washington State, and it's my 84 year old Mom back at home that I miss the most! I don't think we ever outgrow the need for our moms:) Have a good weekend!

Becky, I'm so sorry that you are missing your mom. I miss mine, too. She died in May, and yesterday, one of my best friends died very violently. If you read this, please remember my friend's family in your prayers.

Love you...

Sheila

Hi Becky,
What a lovely endearing post. This day is very difficult for me as well, as I lost my Mom 2 years ago.....I miss her so much. Yesterday was my parents 63rd anniversary, so I'm also feeling a little blue as reminisce about the past. I am blessed as well to have had wonderful parents.
Have a great day,
Susie

Such a beautiful post, Becky! I know your heart must ache over the absence of your mom - especially in April and May - but what a joy to have the blessed assurance that she is with Jesus!

By the way, the stamped utensils are wonderful. I'm sure it will be a joy each time you use your little "Spread Love" knife. ;)

Blessings,

My sweeeeet Becky....

I so understand..... losing my Mum has been the hardest thing ever. She was such a great prayer warrior... if I was talking with her about a problem she'd abruptly say "oh honey, I've got to go get on my knees"...... I miss her so much. She was my biggest cheerleader and actually thought I could do ANYTHING....

I'm sending you big hugs..........I know they won't fill the void....

LOVE you. :-)

Huggies,
Spencer
