R & R

Had to hit the road a couple days after
Mal's wedding, and head for the beach,
for a little R & R.

What an incredibly beautiful beach day it was!
The perfect prescription for this weary, post weddings Mom!!

What a great view!

Daytona is a drive on beach,
but we go where we can walk down, so
we don't have to be concerned with the tides!

The water was a cool refreshing temperature,
so I swam around a bit, and Britt and Maddy
did some boogie boarding!!  Need to get one
more board so I can join the fun!!

Feathered shore friends abound,
are are such a joy to watch!!

These little guys
are sooo cute!  Loved it when the
breeze ruffled their feathers!!

This is the arrangement of creamy kiss roses that
Maddy made for Mal and Jeff's sweetheart table.
After a couple of days
the roses were starting to wilt, but still looked pretty!

A sweet close-up of a creamy kiss!!
So delicate looking!

The bridesmaid's bouquets were just baby's breath,
and looked so sweet in the wedding!
This one is already drying.

So many sweet memories.
My heart is full, and the emotions that
accompany a full heart still stream
down my face every once in awhile.
{smile and sigh}

Hope to make it back to the beach
next week.  There simply is nothing
quite like sitting seaside, and just
taking in all the wonder of
God's amazing creation!!

Have a fabulous Memorial Day weekend!!

Big Sunny Hugs!

My dear soooo deserve a little R&R - and there is NO better place than at the beach. You are so very blessed to be able to hop in the car and pop over to spend a day at that heavenly place. You do feel closer to God there, don't you? :) Thank you for the little mini-vacay that you provided me today. I felt like I was sitting in that warm sand right next to you, my friend! ♥

Have a blessed holiday weekend!

The beach...a perfect place to unwind after the whirlwind of weddings! I did the same thing after our sons' weddings. (Yep. we're sisters under the skin. We even photograph the same birds!)

So glad you can get away like this...don't worry about the shop for a couple more days. It will still be there when you return on Tuesday. Relax this weekend...

I am so ready to escape...but we won't be able to do so until at least this fall.

Be talking to you soon...

Mom, you so deserved this day of relaxation - you worked hard for your daughters special days - from what you showed to us, they were exceptional brides, on wonderful days with everything just perfect, as it should be!

Blessings, and do take more time for you now!

Oh my, sounds like a wonderful time was had by all and the downtime at the beach is the absolute best. I long for the beach...sigh. Landlocked, unfortunately.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Oh Becky I can just only imagine how many emotions are swirling around in that heart of yours. What a busy last 3 months you have had, so full of sweet memories you won't be forgetting ever. How wonderous that you have that gorgeous beach so near to you to enjoy. It looks so restful there. How I love the beach....I just love the color of those roses. Rest, rest, rest! Hope the rest of your week-end is good....HUGS
