Needful Things

Do you have any "Needful Things"?

You know what I mean...those things you don't really need, but really kind of need at the same time... those lovely little luxuries that make your soul sing?

Needful Things!

I certainly don't NEED stacks of vintage doilies, and buttons on their original cards...but it delights my soul to have them, and have beautiful pieces of history to enjoy.

The hours of artistry and handwork that went into creating each doily doesn't go unappreciated at home with me.

And the little gems created
from the bounty of the ocean, just make
me smile.

What about you?  What are some of your
Needful Things?

The giveaway ends tomorrow!!
You can click the photo to go enter!

Thank you to all of you who made me aware
that the button has the wrong month on it!!

Hope you have a lovely week!

Hugs to you all!

Oh, yes indeed, hand-worked textiles are definitely needful things. And antique & vintage handbags, particularly the hand-beaded ones, are my Achilles heel. Have a wonderful day!

I have recently found two different crocheted collars with pearl buttons on one...certainly not a need, but I needed them! :o)

We are such kindred spirits because I too don't "need" those things, but they are certainly *needful things* that make my heart sing as well. We are blessed. ♥

I have filled our whole entire home with 'needful things' ! lol
When I buy new lace or doilies I have this little ritual where I handwash them , dry them in the sunshine and press and wind them onto my pegs. Then comes the fun part......displaying them. I seem to have surrounded myself with 'many' displays. Keep on filling your heart and soul with these beautiful things that make your heart sing. Life is short not to smile all of the time and enjoy the fruits of your labor. I love visiting your beautiful blog, thank you for sharing your wonderful finds and sharing the love.

I understand that "needful" feeling too well, as many of us do! I was feeling very stressed over my "creations" at a specific time in my life, and I decided to just stop making know how that turned out....I have found that I am driven to create, and I do not function well, if I don't give myself that time to do just that. I NEED to create with my hands, it is part of my soul and brings me great joy and satisfaction when I let myself feel it. So, it really IS a needful thing for many of us!

I agree, I just bought a basket of needlepoint and yarn because I hated to see it go to waste! Thanks for sharing, Di

I guess I really don't need all this white ironstone, but I sooooo LOVE it!!!

I really don't "need"'s the want and the beauty of old things that makes me "need" them!
