Just Playin'

This evening, I took a little break from pumpkins to just sit and make something.

Wasn't sure what it would be, but with Fall only a month away, and me making pumpkins pretty much non-stop...

Fall is on my mind.

I love playing with textures, and like to mix
up styles, too.

The little tatted squares were a fabulous find, and after using this one, I only have one left.

Well, I thought these were tatted
squares, but a sweet friend, Liz, was
gracious enough to tell me that they
are actually crocheted!!

That is almost even more amazing!!

Look at the wonderful detail of the crochet!!
I haven't seen any, anywhere, that are anything close to these!  Love to think
about the woman who made them!  At the least,
she was very patient, and knew how to create

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, friends!
I will be making pumpkins, and doing
some much needed organizing and housework!

Hugs to You All!

Hi Becky, your tag is beautiful! I get so excited when I find a lovely piece of tatting, so I know exactly how you feel. Happy pumpkin making, I am up to the same.
hugs and JOY,

Super cute and I love the use of the tatting. It really is hard to believe anyone could do that tiny little work! Must have a ton of patience.

Fabulous textures, love your combinations here.

Yes, those tatted squares are rare. I see them on Etsy occasionally. I adore them too!

Such a pretty tag, Becky, and I love that little crochet square. It is so delicate and beautiful; it makes a wonderful embellishment to your tag. I'm sure you will use the last one on something just as pretty!

Love your little crochet square! I've always wondered the difference between tatting and crocheting?! I love the look of both but I obviously don't crochet myself. My hubby's Grandma tatted around the collar of my son's tiny little newborn t-shirt, 26 years ago. I immediately fell in love with the sweetness. Thank for all the sweetness you bring, Becky!

all the creations are lovely. Crochet is so hard to keep even. I think the old timers did a better job with less than we do with the new yarns and hooks.
